As well as owning alpacas we are fortunate enough to have three lovely guard llamas.  The three "llama ladies" Maya, Inca and Griffin came to us via Southwest Llama Rescue (SWLR).  We cannot say enough how pleased we are with our guard llamas, they have added a new dimension and joy to our herd while performing their "job" of defending the herd 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
 
SWLR is an organization that is very dear to our hearts.  Made up of a small but dedicated group of volunteers SWLR does everything possible to achieve their goal of providing safe refuge for unwanted, neglected or abandoned llamas through intervention, education and necessary support.
